[00:50] In this episode, Igor discusses the immense potential of affiliate marketing as a lucrative income stream, emphasizing its advantages such as passive earnings without product ownership, leveraging LeadPages, and the scalability and flexibility it offers compared to traditional business models.
[02:05] The Appeal of Affiliate Marketing:
- Affiliate marketing appeals to me because I can earn half the revenue from a product sale without the responsibility of managing the product itself.
- Consider LeadPages as an example; it offers substantial commissions, including recurring ones. So, when I refer someone to LeadPages, I earn a commission initially and receive continuous payments as long as they remain a member. This setup allows me to generate passive income.
- Moreover, it enables me to profit from promoting a product that I wouldn’t create myself due to the significant investment of time, money, and expertise required, like LeadPages.
- Despite this, I benefit from the product’s existence in the market while adding value to those I promote. The beauty of affiliate marketing lies in its potential to generate substantial income.
- Conversely, with affiliate marketing, starting from scratch with just a laptop is feasible, potentially surpassing a traditional store’s earnings within weeks or months, minus the risks, and location-independent.
- You could be a nomad or move between different climates without impacting your income.
[04:34] Generating Substantial Income:
- Surprisingly, my income remained stable due to various income streams set up through affiliate marketing, including passive ones that continued to yield commissions, even during my non-working period.
- With systems, scaling to increase income without increasing working hours is possible. Hence, my belief in having an email list ties into what you mentioned earlier.
- Regarding my team, initially, until I reached $10,000 a month, I worked alone—quite vigorously, I might add. It was a one-person show, with me handling most tasks manually.
- As I learned more about automation and systemizing work, I began delegating tasks, using software or outsourcing. This shift significantly propelled my business; I scaled from $10,000 to $40,000 per month and eventually hit $80,000 per month when my daughter was born in November 2012. Since then, I’ve continually expanded while reclaiming more of my time.
