I made tons of mistakes and I continue making mistakes all the time. Unfortunately, the cost of mistakes today is probably greater than it was before. And both in terms of mistakes that I make and mistakes that I make by not taking certain actions, therefore the missed opportunities. So early on. Some of the mistakes that come to mind is I didn’t start building my list early enough, in my opinion. I only recognize how important it is later. And I think that hurts. Like I think it hurts more to data and hear back then because I’d have a much bigger list. And another mistake is I was trying. I was ignoring what the market was buying. I was trying to sell what I thought the market shouldn’t be buying. That was a big mistake. I think if I just said okay, so here’s all these bestselling things that people already mind, let me just go and sell these things rather than trying to figure out, here’s all the things’ people are buying, you know, let me try and sell something that doesn’t exist anymore, or something that people aren’t buying yet. And that would have been a lot more productive. I also think that I focused on things’ cheap products for way too long. Like I think everyone should start with cheap products, because it’s easier to have the courage to promote them and sell them. But I think eventually you want to move up to more expensive stuff. Because the effort that it takes to make a sale oftentimes is the same. But you want to be, you know, walking away with a much larger chunk of money, this way, you can actually have a life rather than constantly try to hustle, just three mistakes that come just three random mistakes that come to mind. I also don’t think I’ve started investing early enough, I think I’ve really, like I waited without free for many, many years. I think I should have started much earlier, I would have been probably much, much richer today. And I think that’s a mistake for sure. Lots of lots of these mistakes come down to mindset and mean just not being able to take on certain ideas, and being hostage to old ideas. You know, like a lot of the stuff that I now consider a mistake. Many of these actions that I took back then or didn’t take back then seemed very logical, you know, seemed like the right thing to do because of my mindset because A, A contradicting idea. I just couldn’t accept it. For whatever reason. And I think the one of the reasons why, you know, takes so long for some people to succeed is because it takes so long to just accept ideas, you’re not that which aren’t coming naturally to you, you know what I mean? Like it takes a long time to accept a contract contradicting beliefs that you keep arguing with and you keep rejecting and keep rejecting and eventually, when you’ve exhausted all the other options, and when you see so much proof that your way doesn’t work. You can then say You know what, let me try and then you try and it works and it’s like, oh, wait, let me try again. Then it works again, let me scale it scales like and then you’d be like, idiot you know really punish yourself. But ideas, but it’s only because it seems like the right thing to do at the time. I don’t think anyone who’s made mistakes ever, you know, ever thought to themselves, oh, I’m making a mistake right now and just going for it. You know, I think to me, it seems like the right thing to do at the time. But another big mistake that I’m now recognizing that I spoke about many, many times before is not using paid traffic, because I thought that spending money on traffic and leads is dangerous and risky. What didn’t realize just how much time it took me to, to try using, you know, content creation and social media as a traffic source only to realize that I wasn’t going anywhere. And finally coming to grips with the idea that anyone who I was following the time who was successful, usually was using paid traffic in one way, shape, or form, it all came down, kind of becoming crystal clear when I wrote a physical letter to Frank Kern, just before my army service. And it’s sort of in between the Academy and the army service. I had a little break there. And I was trying to get something going. And I felt really pressured. Because it was like, if I’m, when I’m going to be enrolled in the army, I won’t have any time. They won’t allow me to bring a laptop to the base and because of the security reasons, I wrote him a letter and I said, hey, can you help like that, I have no money. But I know you, I know all of you, I went through your courses, I got them off, and actually downloaded them from a torrent’s website. So, I didn’t pay for them. And I admitted in the letter, I said, Look, your courses are great and pay for them. But that’s only because I’m broke. And whether they’re still great, you know, and anyone who buys them, you know, they’re worth the money. I was very, I was trying to make it seem like I was a victim of my circumstance. But I mean, back then spending, you know, two grand on a course it just wasn’t a part of my mindset, not these days is different. So, he, you know, I said, can you help me because I need to get something going before I get enlisted. And he replied back, his assistant replied back and sent me an email, with access to a program where he was teaching how to build listings and paid traffic. And the first lesson was the money math lesson where he’s like, Look, if you’re generating traffic, and you’re paying $1 per click, and you convert at 50%, and you’re paying $2 per lead. So that’s your cost per lead. And that stuck with me, stuck with me big time because that would become the foundation to how I would be thinking of pretty much anything moving forward. I think recognizing that leads cost money, and that as long as you structure your business in a way where you can afford to actually spend money on leads, generate them. That became a foundation to my freedom. I think that’s a big lesson that served me really well throughout my life.
