[00:20] In this episode, Igor discusses a significant shift in mindset—from scarcity to abundance. Initially, they used to tightly hold onto their best ideas, fearing that sharing them would diminish their success.
[01:39] The Scarcity Mindset:
- I used to have a scarcity mindset, where I held onto my best ideas tightly. However, I’ve come to realize that sharing my best ideas doesn’t diminish my success.
- In fact, it helps me connect with people on a deeper level and encourages others to be open about their financial journeys.
[02:00] The Childhood Effect:
- Growing up, my family had a closed mindset when it came to discussing success, especially monetary success. We were taught not to boast about our achievements, and we kept our financial endeavors secret for two reasons.
- Firstly, flaunting success was considered uncool, and secondly, sharing how we earned money could attract unwanted attention from potential threats who might demand a share of our wealth. In those days, maintaining financial success meant staying low-key and avoiding flashy displays.
- When I first delved into self-development and heard people like Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins, and Bob Proctor talk about abundance and sharing knowledge, it didn’t make sense to me.
- I grew up in an environment where opportunities were scarce, and someone else’s success often meant that others were left behind. Back then, it seemed impossible to get ahead without taking from others. However, I now understand that this scarcity mindset is outdated in today’s world, thanks to the internet, technological advancements, and the opportunities they’ve created in the last 30 years.
[04:00] The Abundance Mindset:
- Today, there is an abundance of opportunities and money to be made, far more than any one person can capture. Making money is more accessible than ever before.
- Sharing my best ideas openly and for free doesn’t make me any less wealthy; in fact, it attracts more attention and builds relationships that can eventually translate into financial gains.
