  • In my life, I’ve encountered various limiting beliefs and addressed them in different ways. Sometimes, these beliefs fade away without conscious effort, often overshadowed by a new set of beliefs.

  • Other times, external life events can swiftly displace a limiting belief. For instance, many people hold beliefs about not being able to leave their families or live frugally. Still, a significant life event—such as reaching a milestone age or a near-death experience—can trigger a rapid transformation.

  • These individuals might suddenly change course, even divorcing or leaving their family to live on an island. These spontaneous shifts do happen.

  • There are three categories of knowledge: things you know, things you know you don’t know, and what you don’t know you don’t know.

  • Limiting beliefs typically reside in the last category, influencing us without awareness. Trying to challenge these hidden beliefs can be futile because you can’t change what you’re not aware of.
