I’ve been in the game for long enough to know that there’s many ways to skin the cat. I’ve got buddies who don’t use solo ads, they use other traffic sources, even Facebook ads, and they, you know, they pretty much religiously, you know, use those traffic sources. Now the thing is, though, that I believe that there are better traffic sources for certain types of products. And there are better traffic sources for certain types of people in their journey, if you will. What I mean by that is, you know, when I got started, it was far easier for me to get a solo ad campaign going than it was to get a Facebook ads campaign going. 

In fact, I couldn’t get a Facebook campaign going at all for some reason. You know, the first time I got on Google ads, I got banned. Because I had no idea what I was doing. My website did not have the property disclaimers, I was making claims in the ads or something that Google did not appreciate or something. So I had no clue what was going on. But as Soloway was so simple, you negotiate a rate, you talk to the solo ad seller, you give them your link and give them your email done, you see leads coming in. That’s the kind of stuff that you don’t hear from people who try to like, even get on to some kind of a platform, for example, you guys know that I like YouTube ads, YouTube ads are awesome. 

But YouTube ads are freaking expensive. You wouldn’t believe how much money it costs to get a customer from YouTube. But the reason that I do that is because I’m here to build a really long relationship. Okay, so I don’t mind, you know, being upside down on this relationship for a year, I don’t really care, I got the cash flow for it. But the trick is that I can’t afford it. That’s like the difference between someone like me, who was like, you know, into their journey developed, like a big business, got multiple streams of income isn’t hurting for money right now. And for me, you know, several years ago, no money for jobs is really afraid to put money towards ads. You need to see your return very quickly, et cetera. 

So I’m basically when I tell you about solo ads, I’m matching where you are, to what’s best for you, in the same way that let’s say my daughter, she’s 11, right? Um, the way she thinks about boys right now is basically, you know, maybe to the, to the extent of maybe kissing at some point, right? If I just sat her down and started talking to her about, like, moving in with somebody and be like, Yeah, you’re gonna leave the house, and you’re gonna live with another boy, or something like that. You know what I mean? Like, it’s too early. She’s only 11 years old. 

So in the same way, what lots of you know, gurus don’t realize, you know, they go and they try something out, right. So they’ve been in the business for 20 years, and they go and discover a new technique or something. And immediately, they don’t want to go and teach it to people who only started like two weeks ago. Well, that’s not exactly how it’s done. Like you don’t go teaching, you know, complex geometry to second grade students doesn’t work like that. You have to take it one step at a time. There has to be a foundation, there has to be a certain set of criteria met before we can take things to you know, and teach people the advanced stuff. So that’s why I preach solo, it’s pretty because it’s just the perfect thing to do now, doesn’t mean it’s not the perfect thing for me. 

It just means that I’m in a different place. And I can do many things. I can do the solo ads, I can do the lead banks. I can do the YouTube ads. I can do the search ads, I can do medium buys on newsletters and magazines, which is something I’ve been playing around with. And still, you know, I’m just not ready to release it. But I have been interviewing a bunch of people who are growing their list by putting ads inside newsletters, which is really interesting because you get really high quality subscribers there too. 

There’s, you know, a way to drive traffic by being an organic social media? Marketer? Yeah, I know quite a few people who actually do that, they build these giant tick tock accounts. And then Instagram accounts, and they move people into the DMS and they take them to the list. Yeah, it’s possible. But do you want to be investing eight hours a day? Do you mean creating content? Something tells me that you want to do that. And I think, again, I’m assuming one of the things that you want from someone like me who wants to talk, who has gone through the journey is actually telling you not just the thing to do, but also things you shouldn’t be doing right now. I mean, that’s actually like half the battle to try to get you guys to stop doing all the crap that’s distracting and slowing you down. So that’s my philosophy.
