There are a few places out there that I would consider to be communities where people go and connect with other people. And one of them would be Reddit. It’s a really cool website where people share openly, people go there for advice, you know, when somebody likes when someone’s wife will cheat on them, they’ll go in, they’ll just vomit all their feelings and read it. And it has like sub Reddits, for example, for different stuff and one of the subreddits or many subreddits there have to do with online business. So you can just go ahead and post there, explain your situation, explain who you are, and sit and explain what you’re looking for. And trust me, somebody will step up, because there’s probably somebody out there who also tried to build an online business, but there, you know, the strong side is what you’re missing and vice versa, okay.

So Reddit would be a great place, another place would be probably some kind of a mastermind or online group in the form of a Facebook group or something like that, where you’re a part of it, you’ve probably joined a bunch of groups already. So you can go and post there, make an announcement and, and I’m sure somebody will step up. The most important thing is to be clear about the request or in the announcement. Be clear about who you are, and who you’re looking for. Just be very specific. So before posting, sit down with a journal or a piece of paper and just write down all the qualities, you wouldn’t be surprised how life changing this can be for you. 

Like this specific habit of attracting the right people into your life. I don’t know how many of you actually subscribe to the belief system that we attract what we actually want, whether we understand it or not. But back when I was working at the Dead Sea, and housekeeping, I would take the bus to and from work, it was at least a 30 minute ride. If the weather was good, if the conditions were bad, and it was raining, for example, it would take, you know, 15 minutes each way. So I had plenty of time to just be on a bus and think now I’m going to and from work with a journal, I would bring a notepad, just a notebook. And in that notebook because at the time, I was very much focused on finding my romantic partner, not so much a business partner, although I was thinking about my business, but I was also like, you know, I was young and hormones raging. 

So I needed a romantic partner too and that’s what was occupying most of my bandwidth. So I had this notebook and literally for two months, I would like to spend time in the bus outlining or kind of listing like in a bullet point format the qualities of the person I wanted to attract. Now what’s funny is that when I eventually attracted Anastasia who became my girlfriend and then became my wife. I found that list later accidentally and I went through it, it’s like 85% Anastasia’s personality and looks. Blonde hair, green eyes and we love watching movies together. She listens to this kind of music, she’s got this thing in her personality happening. She behaves this way in this situation, behaves that way in that situation. And I had a good 60 points there, like bullet points of what I wanted in my perfect romantic partner. Okay.

It’s quite nuts, if you ask me. Now, if you’re not into making lists like that, you can also tell stories. So another exercise that would do it was later, when I met Anastasia, we’re already engaged, and I was building my business. I was fully focused on my business, you know, sometimes she worked in this retail store. And I would sometimes go into the store. And she needed to close the store, do some things like cash counting and the register and push some stuff into the back, and etc. So it was like a good 15-20 minute process. So if it would come in, she would close the store from the inside. And I would just sit there waiting. And at the time, I didn’t really have an iPhone to keep myself busy with scrolling through social media. So I would just find pieces of paper somewhere, or maybe take one  out of the printer there. 

And I would just start writing a story, I would imagine what my life will look like in five years, 10 years now. And so I would write things like I live in a house this size located in this area, you know, I’m married to Anastasia, you know, we have a daughter, drive this car, etc. So I would like to do my life vision. And again, I’m not a huge believer in the metaphysical part of it, where it’s like, if I stood here long enough thinking about it, it would just show up. I’m a great believer in having to do things, get out there, take some risks, you know what I mean? 

Like, but I am a great believer in specific thinking, meaning that if I’m aiming somewhere and you should be aiming somewhere you shouldn’t be just thinking I want an online business because that’s what you’re gonna get. You’ll have an online business, this isn’t making any money. Like you have to be very specific about what that looks like. And you know, not just about goal setting, but very specific goals goes back to me recommending you guys read Outwitting the Devil because the biggest message in that book is that the devil wants drifters, who can think for themselves and anyone who’s got specific thinking and goals is simply out of reach for the devil. And again, the devil is a metaphor not so much in the religious term, but more so in the life term.
