I’ve noticed that I’ve become a lot more honest with people and a lot bolder with people about my plans, I used to have this belief that if I told anyone about my plans, my plans would not work out as in if I’m planning to launch a program and make a million dollars, that my plans will somehow fall through the cracks. Because I told somebody and you know, there’s like it goes back to I guess my mother’s conditioning back when I was a kid where she would like to put something different, like protection on me from like a bad eye or an evil eye. Or like she’ll do rituals for good luck. And you know what I mean? Like, that’s kind of stuff like if a cat crosses the road, then you shouldn’t be crossing the road where it crossed because it’s sort of bad luck. Or if a mirror has broken in your home, then it’s for bad luck, and so on. Right? So it kind of goes back to that conditioning. 

But now I pretty much went and I’ve told everybody I mean in Canada, anyone who is willing to listen, and I’m moving to Bulgaria, and everybody asked me what’s about Bulgaria, you know, why not Portugal? Why not Puerto Rico, why not Mexico? So a couple of reasons. First off, Bulgaria has an entry meaning it’s one of the few countries that we can quite easily enter. 

That’s not the case with most European countries that have very strict requirements as to who can come in and who can stay there. In Bulgaria, there’s a program that allows you to start a trade representative office and you can get a living permit or a residence permit based on the trade representative office since I own the company in Canada, my Canadian company has started to treat presenting offers in Bulgaria therefore given me the ability to enter so that’s one-second bonus is it’s conservative but it will give you is very much behind on woke ism is very much behind on LGBTQ plus it’s the values there are a little bit more like the values when I was growing up right there a lot more conservative family-oriented education oriented not as much of the typical you know woke ism that’s happening in the West. 

Also, it’s cheap cost of living not to be ignored Bulgarian cost of living if I like just take the cost of the living standards of God in Canada and go and just set myself up with the same living standards in Bulgaria probably talking about 30% of what I spent here. That’s going to be my monthly expenses when we’re there including private school, a really nice car, a big house including everything, a summer vacation house on the Black Sea, and everything else. 

Um, taxes are much lower than in Canada. That goes without saying it’s a big plus. It’s quite literally moving as if my income doesn’t change, and even if my expenses didn’t change, just by moving to Bulgaria. I will grow richer every year just because the taxes are remarkably lower than in Canada, England, the US, or pretty much any Western country.

It’s substantial for someone with my income and Another plus is the weather. Um, even though I wouldn’t move just because of that Canada’s weather is ridiculous in summertime, you come out with an umbrella and a jacket because you don’t know what to expect a wintertime, you know exactly what to expect it’s going to be freaking cold is going to be Windchill. And it’s just I just don’t like it. I mean, I grew up in Ukraine and it was pretty cold in the winter when I was a kid. So I could go outside and play snowballs and do whatever. Now though, it’s just a huge inconvenience. And I don’t like it. Not to mention that, like, for example, I work out of my basement right now at home, this basement gets really cold. 

Like, I have to sit here wearing an actual jacket in the sweater and another sweater underneath it, and really thick socks. And I mean, it’s just gotten ridiculous over the years like I’m not enjoying working from home in the wintertime, which means I probably have to go and travel somewhere to be in the workplace. But then you’re like, well, but your kids are going to school, you can just pick up and leave. Like if I was a nomad, it was just me and my wife. I would probably like to keep my Canadian citizenship and stay in Canada, but travel a lot more now, though, you know, I can’t just, you know, leave in December or January, because the kids will start missing school. And if they miss school, that’s not good. So pretty much anyone who has the means to travel, but doesn’t travel. 

In winter time in Toronto, usually, it’s because the kids because we have to keep them in school, extracurricular activities, there’s like activity building up to Christmas and New Year’s and, and it’s just, it’s like a punishment sometimes, you know, sometimes I’d be out looking at my driveway, which is like this, this much snow on the driveway. And I was like, why am I? Why am I tolerating this? It’s funny because about six months ago, I was thinking of starting to think about moving data and starting to think about changing direction. And I was really like my driveway was really bugging me. So I started looking into like, Okay, what’s, how much would it cost me to get a heated driveway? And I got quoted $35,000? How much would it cost me to hire somebody to come in and, you know, clear my snow every time it snows? And that’s probably going to be like, seven $800 per season because of the size of my driveway.

And then it’s like, what other solutions Am I not considering? One of the solutions that I ended up getting from Chat GPT when I was brainstorming with Chat GPT was to move to a different country. And I was sitting there thinking to myself, yeah, yeah, if anyone can, it’s me, right? I might as well. Why not? 

And I started looking into Dubai, started looking into Portugal, I started looking into Bulgaria, I started looking into Puerto Rico, and she traveled to Puerto Rico, I traveled to Mexico, kind of to get a vibe for the place. And you know, eventually, I also traveled to London, and they traveled to Bulgaria. And then I traveled back to London, from Bulgaria, and then back home and then back to London again. And throughout all this time, I kept going back to my experience in Bulgaria, and I liked it. 

So yeah, I’m definitely all in for Bulgaria right now, I’ll probably go there and stay there for a year. We found a school for the kids so they can continue learning English. It’s an international school with the paperwork in degrees, they’re recognized by all the European universities, which means they’ll be able to choose direction later, wherever they want to go, whether it’s going to be England, whether it’s going to be the EU or anything else. And I was like, you know, we’re gonna give it a shot. What’s interesting is that I was able to convert my wife very quickly. It’s my daughter, who I’m still working on like she doesn’t want to move on now. She’s getting on 11 Now, so she doesn’t necessarily get to call the shots. 

But still, I want her to be in on it, you know, so we’re moving as a unit. My son is too young to even know what’s going on. But I’m still working on converting her so every week, I will try a different angle with her. And so far from what I’m recognizing. I think to fully convert her I need to promise her that we’re going to get a dog when we move. I’m very reluctant to promise that. I’m not sure if I want to get a dog. I’m not sure if I need that headache, but it seems like the conversation is now at a stage where it’s like so can we get a dog when we move to Bulgaria, and like five say yes, I think she’s gonna be sold
